Travel to Las Vegas from London

On the 12th November 2011, the epic WBO Welterweight boxing championship between Juan Manuel Marquez II and Manny Pacquiao will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand.  An incredible amount of boxing fanatics will flock to Las Vegas to witness this fight, of course, and if you are one of these, you may want to know how to travel from London to Las Vegas.

From London, you can travel to Las Vegas from both London Gatwick and London Heathrow, and a flight departs from each airport once a day.  Gatwick is covered by Virgin Atlantic and Heathrow is covered by British Airways.  Flights are quite long – almost 11 hours – so be prepared for a long journey.  Furthermore, the time difference between London and Las Vegas is 6 hours, meaning that you will arrive in Las Vegas feeling like it’s the middle of the night when it is only afternoon.  It is important to be aware of this due to the possibility of jet lag.

The flights described above are direct flights, but it may be worth shopping around to see if you could get cheaper deals by having one or more stop overs.  Prices for these direct flights are between £350 and £500, which is not an amount to entirely break the bank, particularly since you will be able to not only enjoy the fight itself, but also spend some time in Las Vegas.  They say that New York is the city that never sleeps, but those words are actually more applicable to Las Vegas!

So, if you are hoping to be one of the lucky ones to actually watch the big fight live from the MGM Grand, you should have no problems getting to Las Vegas from London at a reasonable price. If you can’t arrange this trip you c an alwasy watch a Pacquiao Marquez live stream on your computer!
